Beyond the call

Beyond the call "The life and legacy of Mark Gallagher"

"We'd serve the community a whole lot better if all young recruits had good mentors. In fact, we could all do with them. We'd make the force a better one, and the world a better place."

"The smallest gestures can make all the difference for those living in such extreme poverty."

"You must look past what's going on now and focus ahead where you want to be."

Mark Gallagher, membre de la GRC, est décédé lors du tremblement de terre en Haïti. Une partie des profits de la vente de ce livre serviront au projet (700,000. $ à 1,000,000. $) de construction d'une école vocationnelle en Haïti.

"Good morning Rosemarie and Warren, My name is Harry SUMMERTON; I am the National Travel Secretary for the Canadian Section of the International Police Association, also the VP Travel, Region 2, Toronto, for the same organization. I have recently been privileged to read “Beyond the call”; all about the life, and indeed, unfortunately, untimely death of Mark GALLAGHER, Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Another member of IPA, is my good friend Mark BRIDGES, also, his Wife, Carole. Adjectives fail to convey to me, what a remarkable man was Mark GALLAGHER. His personal and professional life was above reproach. He never failed to show anyone he ever met, what life can and should be all about. Reaching out to known and totally unknown human beings wherever he went. I have already spoken about the book to the President, and Secretary General of the Canadian Section of IPA; so far, an article about the life of Mark GALLAGHER is to be published in the Region 2 Newsletter, and the National Newsletter for the Canadian Section. Mark and I will shortly submit our appraisal on the book, and will ask that an article about it, be circulated to IPA sections around the world."
